Science Teacher - Secondary School - Manchester

The Role

  • Position: Science Teacher (KS3 & KS4)

  • Location: Manchester

  • Start Date: September 2024 (or sooner if available)

  • Contract: Full-time, Permanent

  • Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

  • Subject Specialism: Biology, Chemistry, or Physics (general Science at KS3, with a specialism at KS4 preferred)

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and interactive Science lessons, inspiring students to develop a love for the subject. The role includes lesson planning, assessment, and contributing to the wider Science curriculum. There may also be opportunities to teach at KS5 for the right candidate.

What We're Looking For

  • Qualifications: QTS (or equivalent) and a degree in Science or a related subject

  • Experience: Teaching Science at secondary level (KS3 & KS4), with KS5 experience desirable but not essential

  • Skills: Strong classroom management, excellent communication, and the ability to deliver engaging and challenging lessons

  • Commitment: A passion for student progress, high expectations, and contributing to a positive learning environment
