Job description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary School Teacher to join welcoming and supportive schools across Hertfordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to inspiring young people and creating an engaging, inclusive learning environment.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching within your specialist subject area, supporting students' academic progress and personal development, and contributing positively to the wider life of the school community.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
Teach your specialist subject across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 where applicable)
Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment for all students
Assess, record and report on student progress and attainment
Differentiate teaching to support students of varying abilities
Maintain strong classroom management and promote positive behaviour
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and support staff
Contribute to school activities, pastoral systems and professional development
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
Experience teaching in a secondary school setting
Strong subject knowledge and effective classroom management skills
Ability to motivate and engage secondary-aged students
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
