SEN Teacher

Job description

A dynamic primary school in Northamptonshire is seeking an experienced and dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team. This full-time, permanent position offers the opportunity to lead and deliver high-quality education to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).




Role Responsibilities

As an SEN Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to students with a range of SEN, including ASD, SEMH, and SLCN.

  • Develop and implement IEPs and BSPs in collaboration with the SENCO and other professionals.

  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and external agencies.

  • Provide guidance and support to Teaching Assistants working with SEN students.

  • Promote an inclusive and positive learning environment.

  • Engage with parents and carers to support student development.




Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Experience teaching students with SEN in a mainstream school setting.

  • Knowledge of SEN legislation and best practices.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills.

  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

  • A commitment to continuous professional development.
