A vibrant primary school in Northamptonshire is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This full-time, permanent position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the education and development of students with special educational needs.
Role Responsibilities
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, and other learning difficulties.
Assist in the delivery of differentiated lessons and activities.
Support students in developing social and emotional skills.
Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to relevant staff.
Promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have:
Experience working with children with special educational needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach.
An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
