About the Role
Simply Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive special school in Peterborough. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who is passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) including those with Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language Difficulties, or Moderate Learning Difficulties.
As part of a collaborative team, you will create a nurturing learning environment that helps every pupil develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver individualised and engaging lessons that meet the diverse needs of SEN pupils.
Support students in developing communication, independence, and emotional regulation skills.
Use creative and adaptive teaching strategies to inspire confidence and participation.
Collaborate effectively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, and families to ensure holistic support for every child.
Contribute to Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor pupil progress closely.
Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and wellbeing.
About You
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Have proven experience working with pupils with SEN, either in a specialist or mainstream setting.
Demonstrate empathy, patience, and resilience in managing complex needs and behaviours.
Be committed to inclusive, child-centred education.
Possess strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills.
