Supply Teacher - Romford, London Borough of Havering

Location: Romford and surrounding areas (Havering)
Job Type: Daily Supply / Short-Term / Long-Term Cover
Salary: £130-£220 per day (dependent on experience, role, and responsibility)

We are working in partnership with a wide range of primary, secondary, and SEN schools across Romford and the wider Havering area who are seeking dedicated and adaptable Supply Teachers to provide high-quality classroom cover.

This role is ideal for experienced teachers, Early Career Teachers (ECTs), and retired or returning teachers who are looking for flexible working arrangements without the demands of a permanent position.

About the Role:

As a Supply Teacher, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning when permanent staff are absent. Assignments may range from day-to-day cover to short- and long-term placements, depending on your availability and preferences.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering pre-planned lessons across your subject specialism or key stage

• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies

• Creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

• Supporting pupils with varying learning needs and abilities

• Following school safeguarding procedures at all times

• Providing brief feedback to staff at the end of the day or placement

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

• Previous experience teaching in UK schools (preferred but not essential for ECTs)

• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

• Confidence to adapt quickly to new school environments

• A valid Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply

• A professional, reliable, and flexible approach to work
