Teaching Assistant - Specialist Provision
Location: Disley, Cheshire
Salary: £90 - £130 per day (based on 39 working weeks, dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent, 39 weeks per year + 6 weeks holiday
Start Date: September 2025 (or earlier for the right candidate)

Simply Education is supporting a specialist provision that works with pupils aged 11-16 with additional needs including Autism, SEMH, ADHD, dyspraxia, dyslexia, and communication or sensory difficulties. The provision offers a therapeutic, holistic curriculum with on-site clinical support and pathways including Outdoor Learning and Performing Arts.

They are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join the team, providing day-to-day support to learners with complex needs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide classroom support to teachers in delivering lessons

  • Assist with one-to-one and small group interventions

  • Support students' emotional regulation and behaviour management

  • Help implement personalised learning and support plans

  • Assist with safeguarding and wellbeing duties

  • Encourage independence and engagement among pupils


The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience working in SEN, SEMH or specialist settings

  • A caring, patient, and flexible approach

  • Good communication and teamwork skills

  • Understanding of trauma-informed and low-arousal practices

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
