Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Crewe
Contract Type: Full Time

About the Role

The School are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a SEMH School based in Crewe that supports pupils with SEMH aged from 5 - 18. This Teaching Assistant role involves working closely with teachers and other support staff to help pupils achieve their full potential, both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities

- As a Teaching Assistant, you will support teaching and learning in the classroom under the direction of the class teacher
- Work with individuals or small groups of pupils, including those with additional needs
- Assist in the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources
- Promote positive behaviour and support pupils' emotional wellbeing
- Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
- Support pupils during lessons, break times, and school activities
- Contribute to monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teachers

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

Experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential) for this Teaching Assistant position
A patient, caring, and positive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
The ability to support pupils with diverse learning needs
Relevant qualifications (or willingness to work towards them)
