Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Newark-on-Trent
Salary: £82.02 - £96.96 per day
Start Date: September 2025/Ongoing
Full-Time / Part-Time / Long-Term / Short-Term

Simply Education is working closely with a number of primary schools in Newark-on-Trent that are looking for caring and committed 1:1 Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs. These rewarding roles involve working closely with individual children, providing tailored support to help them access the curriculum, develop social skills, and build confidence.

Whether you're an experienced Teaching Assistant or looking to take your first step into education, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support for pupils with additional learning, behavioural or emotional needs

• Assist in delivering tailored learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher

• Help manage behaviour and promote a positive, inclusive learning environment

• Build a strong, trusting relationship with the pupil to encourage progress and engagement

• Liaise with the class teacher and parents to provide regular updates

Requirements:

• Experience working with children in a Primary school setting

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• A genuine interest in supporting children

• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
