Salary: Main Pay Scale / Upper Pay Scale (Outer London allowance)

The Design & Technology department is well resourced, with modern workshops and specialist equipment to support a range of disciplines, including Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, Engineering and Food Technology. The Role
The successful candidate will:
Deliver high-quality Design & Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 where appropriate
Plan and implement engaging, creative and challenging schemes of work that inspire students of all abilities
Use a range of teaching strategies to promote independent learning, practical skills and technical understanding
Assess, monitor and track student progress, providing effective feedback to support improvement
Contribute to the ongoing development of the Design & Technology curriculum
Take an active role in extra-curricular activities, enrichment opportunities and school events
Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a teacher who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is currently training to achieve it
Has strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for Design & Technology
Can teach one or more specialisms, including Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, Engineering or Food Technology
Is committed to inclusive education and raising achievement for all students
Demonstrates excellent classroom management and positive behaviour strategies
Is reflective, resilient and eager to engage in professional development
Works effectively as part of a team and contributes positively to the wider school community
Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are very welcome to apply and will benefit from a comprehensive induction programme and high-quality mentoring.
