Early Career Teachers (ECTs) - Primary Schools - Newark-on-Trent

Role: Early Career Teacher (ECT)
Location: Newark-on-Trent and surrounding areas
Start Date: Upon receiving QTS
Contract Type: Day-to-day supply, part-time and long-term placements
Salary: £130 - £168.80 per day (dependent on experience)
Suitable for: ECTs completing or starting induction

Simply Education are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Early Career Teachers to work in our partner primary schools across the Newark-on-Trent area.

We have a strong record of placing ECTs into local schools, helping new teachers gain valuable classroom experience and confidently begin their teaching careers. Many of the teachers we support go on to secure long-term or permanent roles, making this a fantastic opportunity to build experience while exploring different school settings.

The Role

As an ECT, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across EYFS, KS1 or KS2

  • Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment

  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners

  • Monitor progress and support pupil development

  • Work closely with supportive staff and mentors

  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues

What we're looking for:

  • QTS achieved or pending

  • Passion for teaching and inspiring young learners

  • Strong classroom management skills

  • Flexible, reliable and proactive attitude

  • Commitment to professional development
