Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

We are delighted to be recruiting a dedicated, skilled and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join our successful and well-resourced Mathematics department in Brentwood. This is an exciting opportunity for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or an experienced practitioner who is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and achieving excellent outcomes for all students.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 for suitably qualified candidates)

  • Plan and deliver well-structured, engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners

  • Use assessment effectively to monitor progress, inform planning, and provide meaningful feedback

  • Support students to develop confidence, problem-solving skills, and a genuine appreciation for mathematics

  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and contribute to a positive classroom culture

  • Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development and enrichment activities

  • Participate fully in the wider life of the school, including pastoral responsibilities where appropriate

The Ideal Candidate Will

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (or be on track to achieve it)

  • Have strong subject knowledge and a passion for Mathematics

  • Demonstrate the ability to inspire, motivate and challenge students of all abilities

  • Be reflective, well-organised and committed to continuous professional development

  • Work effectively as part of a team and build positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents

  • Share the school's commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
