As a qualified teacher, You will foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, implementing effective teaching strategies to support student's diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering High-Quality Lessons: Plan and deliver engaging lessons that are differentiated to meet the individual learning needs of all students.
  • Assessment & Progress Tracking: Use a variety of assessment methods to monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Classroom Management: Ensure a positive, respectful, and productive classroom environment using effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Differentiation: Tailor teaching methods to meet the needs of students, including those with SEN (Special Educational Needs), EAL (English as an Additional Language), and those requiring further challenge.
  • Collaboration with Colleagues: Work alongside other teachers and support staff to share resources, ideas, and best practices to achieve the best outcomes for students.
  • Safeguarding & Wellbeing: Support the safeguarding and wellbeing of students, promoting a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development (CPD) to enhance your skills and stay up to date with educational best practices.

Key Skills & Qualities:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): You must have QTS (or equivalent) and relevant teaching experience.
  • Passion for Teaching: A strong enthusiasm for teaching and supporting student's academic and personal growth.
  • Effective Communication: Excellent communication skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Adaptability: Ability to modify teaching approaches to suit the diverse needs of students in the classroom.
  • Classroom Management: Proven ability to maintain a positive and effective classroom environment.
  • Empathy & Patience: A compassionate and patient approach to working with students, particularly those with additional needs.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience in delivering the national curriculum at primary or secondary level.
  • A clear DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).

Desirable:

  • Experience working with SEN students and an understanding of special educational needs.
  • A commitment to inclusive education and ensuring all students have access to high-quality teaching and learning opportunities.
