School-Based Youth Worker | King's Lynn
Simply Education is seeking a committed and compassionate School-Based Youth Worker to join a supportive secondary school in King's Lynn. The Role:
The successful candidate will provide individual and group support to students aged 11-18, focusing on improving wellbeing, engagement, and behaviour. Working collaboratively with teachers, pastoral teams, and external agencies, you will contribute to a nurturing and inclusive school environment that promotes success for all learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide structured mentoring and emotional support to pupils
- Implement targeted interventions to promote positive behaviour and resilience
- Support students with social, emotional, and mental health needs
- Work collaboratively with staff to ensure consistent pastoral support
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to safeguarding practices
- Build effective relationships with parents, carers, and partner agencies
Person Specification:
- Experience supporting young people in an educational or youth work capacity
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
- A compassionate, patient, and solution-focused approach
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 in Youth Work, Education, or Counselling) are advantageous but not essential
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
