School-Based Youth Worker | King's Lynn

The Role:
The successful candidate will provide individual and group support to students aged 11-18, focusing on improving wellbeing, engagement, and behaviour. Working collaboratively with teachers, pastoral teams, and external agencies, you will contribute to a nurturing and inclusive school environment that promotes success for all learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide structured mentoring and emotional support to pupils
  • Implement targeted interventions to promote positive behaviour and resilience
  • Support students with social, emotional, and mental health needs
  • Work collaboratively with staff to ensure consistent pastoral support
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to safeguarding practices
  • Build effective relationships with parents, carers, and partner agencies

Person Specification:

  • Experience supporting young people in an educational or youth work capacity
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
  • A compassionate, patient, and solution-focused approach
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 in Youth Work, Education, or Counselling) are advantageous but not essential
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
