We're looking for a Youth Engagement Specialist with the energy, passion, and resilience to work with children and young teenagers with challenging behaviour in the High Wycombe area.

🧠 About the Role

You will:

  • Deliver engaging, trauma-informed 1:1 and group sessions to children at risk of exclusion, offending, or disengagement.
  • Work closely with schools to create joined-up support plans.
  • Use creative tools (sports, art, music, gaming, etc.) to build trust and promote emotional regulation and self-expression.
  • Manage and de-escalate behavioural incidents in a safe, positive way using recognised behavioural support techniques.
  • Act as a consistent, empathetic adult in the lives of young people who may not have one.

👀 We're Looking for Someone Who:

  • Has experience working with young people
  • Understands the impact of adverse childhood experiences and trauma.
  • Is emotionally resilient, calm under pressure, and committed to restorative and therapeutic approaches.
  • Has a youth work, social care, education, or psychology background (or equivalent experience).
  • Holds (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS and relevant safeguarding training.
