Simply Education is currently seeking a patient, flexible, and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a mainstream primary school in Grantham. This day-to-day supply role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in children's educational experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with special educational needs (SEN) in a mainstream classroom.

  • Assist the class teacher with adapting learning resources and activities to suit individual pupil needs.

  • Help manage behaviour and promote a calm, inclusive classroom environment.

  • Support pupils with a range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.

  • Monitor progress and feedback to the class teacher.

  • Encourage pupil independence and boost confidence through positive reinforcement.

  • Contribute to daily routines and the overall smooth running of the classroom.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with children with SEN in a school or care setting.

  • A caring, calm, and patient approach to supporting individual needs.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Confidence to work independently and adapt to different classroom environments.

  • A genuine interest in supporting children's development and wellbeing.

  • A flexible attitude and availability for day-to-day cover work.
