One-to-One Learning Support Assistant - Northampton (Primary)
Full-Time | ASAP Start | 8:30am - 3:30pm | Term-Time Only

A welcoming and supportive primary school in Northampton is looking to appoint an experienced 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to work closely with a child in Year 3 who has SEND.

This is a full-time, term-time only position, with an immediate start. The role requires someone with previous experience supporting pupils with additional needs in a one-to-one setting, ideally within a primary school environment.

About the Role:

  • Supporting a child in Year 3 with identified SEND needs

  • Working on a one-to-one basis, providing tailored support throughout the school day

  • Assisting with learning activities, emotional regulation, and social development

  • Liaising with class teachers, SENCO, and external professionals where required

  • Full-time role: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm (term time only)

  • Start date: ASAP

We're Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has relevant experience supporting children with SEND, ideally in a 1:1 role

  • Holds a Teaching Assistant qualification or has significant school-based experience

  • Is patient, nurturing, and confident supporting a child with additional needs

  • Can follow tailored learning plans and adapt activities to suit individual needs

  • Communicates effectively with pupils, staff, and families

  • Is reliable, well-organised, and committed to making a difference
