About the Role:
In this vital role, you will play a key part in the education and development of children with a range of special educational needs. You will be responsible for planning and delivering tailored lessons, supporting individual learning needs, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
You will work closely with other professionals and parents to ensure each pupil reaches their full potential, making a real difference every day.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality, individualised teaching to students with a range of SEN needs
Develop and adapt resources to support differentiated learning
Implement and monitor individual education plans (IEPs)
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and external agencies
Create a safe, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment
Uphold safeguarding practices in line with school policy and statutory guidance
Requirements:
Strong background in supporting children with special educational needs
Proven experience in a similar SEN teaching role
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage challenging behaviour positively and professionally
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
