As a Year 5 Teacher, you will play a vital role in preparing pupils for the transition into upper Key Stage 2, helping to build confidence, independence, and a strong foundation for future success.

About the Role:
You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, creative, and well-structured lessons in line with the national curriculum. You will create a stimulating classroom environment that fosters curiosity and a love of learning, while ensuring that all pupils are supported and challenged appropriately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons tailored to a range of abilities
  • Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, using data to inform teaching
  • Provide clear and constructive feedback to support pupil development
  • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners
  • Maintain a positive, safe, and well-managed classroom environment
  • Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional wellbeing
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and leadership teams
  • Build strong relationships with parents and carers

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience teaching in UK primary schools (essential)
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5
  • A valid DBS certificate registered on the Update Service (essential)
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A proactive, flexible, and positive approach to teaching
