Science Teacher (Secondary)

Location: Clacton-on-Sea, Essex
Contract type: Full-time
Start date: September 2026

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join our secondary school team from September 2026. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality Science lessons across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4), fostering curiosity, critical thinking and a passion for scientific discovery.

Key Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Proven experience teaching KS3 and KS4 Science.

  • Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics with the ability to teach across the sciences.

  • A commitment to high standards of teaching, learning and safeguarding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum.

  • Incorporate practical experiments, demonstrations and digital tools to enhance student learning.

  • Track and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.

  • Maintain excellent classroom behaviour and a positive learning environment.

  • Ensure safe and effective use of equipment and uphold all health & safety procedures within the laboratory.
