Science Teacher - Chelmsford, Essex

We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and motivated Science Teacher to join a thriving secondary education setting in Chelmsford. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is enthusiastic about inspiring young people and delivering high-quality science education across the curriculum.

The role is suitable for experienced teachers as well as Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are keen to develop their skills within a supportive and well-structured environment.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

• Teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to specialise in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics

• Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive, and well-structured lessons

• Assess, track, and support student progress in line with curriculum requirements

• Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes curiosity and achievement

• Contribute to the wider life of the department and school community

• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort, and academic success

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is working towards it

• Has strong subject knowledge in Science

• Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills

• Is committed to raising attainment and supporting all learners

• Works well as part of a collaborative team

• Is organised, reflective, and eager to develop professionally
