Science Teacher - Chelmsford, Essex
We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and motivated Science Teacher to join a thriving secondary education setting in Chelmsford. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is enthusiastic about inspiring young people and delivering high-quality science education across the curriculum.
The role is suitable for experienced teachers as well as Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are keen to develop their skills within a supportive and well-structured environment.
The Role
The successful candidate will:
Teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to specialise in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics
Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive, and well-structured lessons
Assess, track, and support student progress in line with curriculum requirements
Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes curiosity and achievement
Contribute to the wider life of the department and school community
Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort, and academic success
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is working towards it
Has strong subject knowledge in Science
Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills
Is committed to raising attainment and supporting all learners
Works well as part of a collaborative team
Is organised, reflective, and eager to develop professionally
