Simply Education is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a well‑established secondary school in the Hanley area. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to deliver high‑quality Science teaching within a supportive and forward‑thinking department. The school is looking to appoint immediately and welcomes applications from both experienced teachers and confident ECTs.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and well‑structured Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Plan, prepare and assess work in line with curriculum expectations
Support pupils of varying abilities to ensure strong progress for all learners
Maintain high standards of behaviour and create a positive, inclusive learning environment
Contribute to departmental planning, meetings and collaborative curriculum development
Provide clear, constructive feedback to support pupil attainment
Participate in wider school life including duties, parents' evenings and CPD opportunities
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry or Physics
Ability to inspire and motivate secondary learners
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Confident classroom management skills
